Coronado High School students add a New Mosaic!

The Coronado High School (CHS) campus has build an exceptional display of art installations.  Everywhere you turn, beautiful mosaics and murals dazzle the eye.  There are also meditation spots and memory gardens, and if you are lucky you can catch the remnants of the latest Chalk Art Walk on trash bins and walkways.

One of the most striking mosaics depicts the universe with the message "Somewhere Something Incredible is Waiting to be Known."  Turn the corner and you will find a beautiful display honoring those who have donated their time and efforts to supporting the schools through the Coronado Schools Foundation.

Former student Kirsten Green has worked with CHS art students and instructor Laura Hill on many of the art installations on the CHS campus, and is working on a new mosaic set to be unveiled on May 26, 2017.  This latest project adds lovely sea toned glass to the side stairs of the entryway steps of the 200-300 building where many art and media classes are held.  Completed by students, this newest mosaic is another incredible example of how Coronado High School embraces all areas of learning.
