Betzi Roe performs in "120 Years"Posted by: nancym 2 years, 2 months ago
The performance 120 Years was about dancers' journey together as friends, partners and colleagues over the past 25 years. Memories, aging, reinventing were the themes woven through seven dances. The videos below were shown in the middle of the performance (after four dances) and at the end (after the remaining three dances).
According to Roe, "This video was shown after four dances so we could rest! I call it the 'scrapbook' -- it shows the intersection of our careers together. It is about seven minutes long. It starts with me at age 16. Manuel's first photo is at age 25. You'll see footage and photos of us with different partners or alone. The footage I chose is of us dancing when I was 48 and he was 36 at a TCAP event. That, coincidentally, is where I met Kris McClung, the founder of CoSA" Click here to watch the video.
OF the final video, Roe comments,"This one is about 3 1/2 minutes in length. We wanted to show the audience the process we went through to build this relationship between two countries - and the border issue!" Click here to watch the second video.Share on Twitter Share on Facebook
